With their training facility and headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia, the Washington Redskins American football team plays as an eastern division member of the NFC or National Football Confederation in the league of national football.

Also known as the Skins, the Washington Redskins plays in Landover, Maryland particularly in FedExField. This is located in Prince George’s County in Maryland. As what the Forbes Magazines states, the Skins are hailed the most expensive team sport franchise in the country of the United States. They value at roughly $ 1.423 billion. They have also been considered the most expensive sports squad for seven years now. They are the team to be the richest and most moneymaking in the NFL history. They have generated more than $ 300 million in income and gaining more than $ 100 million yearly. They also broke the mark of the NFL for single-season turnout six years in succession mainly because of the largest audience capacity of the NFL tournament.

Generally, the Washington Redskins have competed for eleven championships in the NFL. They have also bagged three awards during the Super Bowl tournaments, five in the conference championships and 12 in the division championships.

The Redskins have their own marching band, along with the AFC member Baltimore Ravens. They are one of the pioneering football teams to have acquired a fight song, which goes like Hail to the Redskins.

The Washington Redskins were once stationed in Boston and they were known as the Boston Football Braves. George Preston Marshall owned the club. The others are Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. Joe Gibbs initiated this tradition of cladding white jerseys, after taking over as team’s coach in 1981.

The current logo of the Skins is basically a combination of what their logo designs in 1965 up to 1982 are.
