Having a fight song chanted as Go! You Packers! Go!, is also the public owned company with its league of directors having Ted Thompson as the general manager and Bob Harlan as the chairman.
The founder of the team, Curly Lambeau sought for the team’s uniforms from Indian Packing Company, his employer. The Company gave him $500 for equipment and uniforms, under the condition that the company be mentioned as the sponsor. One article in the newspaper referred the Packers, as the Indians yet the moment the competed for the first game of the team, they adopted Packers as the name.
The Green Bay Packers helmet is in yellow shade and their logo has not been changed since 1961. It is an illustration of an oval “G”, created by George Braisher, the league’s manager. The logo also appears in the helmet. Sometimes, they may have used the colors gold and green yet they stick the team’s color composing gold and navy blue.
