Atlanta Falcons
The football team in America named the Atlanta Falcons has set numerous Hall of Fame awards achieved by their football player superstars. This is no doubt why the team continues to draw cheers and applause for every competition that they are in.
Based in the city of Atlanta, Georgia State, the Atlanta Falcons joined the National Football League or NFL in 1966 as an expansion team. They belong to the South division of the National Football Conference in NFL. For 41 years of competing and striving every tournament, the Falcons, as they are mostly known as, have accumulated a total title of 258-374-6, without yet counting the division championship they achieved in 2004, 1988 and 1980. The Atlanta Falcons football league has also showed in the Super Bowl XXXIII in Florida, losing the Denver Broncos in a 34-19 score.
The franchise of the Atlanta Falcons started on the 30th of June 1965 dugint eh ownership grant of Pete Rozelle, the NFL Commissioner to Rankin M. Smith Sr. The Georgia-based football team drafted LB Tommy Nobs from Texas University, hailing him the first Falcon.
In the year 1966, the team made its first period and competed the first game on the 1st of August 1966, where it defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. Their first triumph was against the team, New York Giants. The Falcons had their first live television game tournament during the season of 1970. This broadcast that was also called the Monday Night Football competition was held in Atlanta.
In 1978, they entered the first championship series and fortunately bagged the Wild Card Playoffs in opposition to the Eagles just to lose the team Dallas Cowboys during the division playoffs.
